This strategy can also be done by creating a new brand so that other brands can become more popular and competitive in one type of product. This strategy is similar to a sub brand, but has a distinctly different goal. 

New brands seem to be "step children", so that old brands can continue to exist and be even more popular.

This method is done so that each brand or company with a different name has a different target market and achievements.

For example, a product or company is deliberately focused on a target market that is aiming for low prices, meanwhile, others focus on the target market who are aiming for the best product or groups who tend to look at top brands and prestige without caring about price.

Even though one of the products or businesses seems to be being neglected by the owner in terms of promotions and so on, this is actually aimed at increasing the popularity of both because of course no entrepreneur wants to make a loss.

It's a bit strange, yes, but that's the strategy. and proven effective. Maybe you actually already know the perpetrators of strategies like this and their presence has even made other businesses around them die or other products become unpopular.


This strategy is aimed at overwhelming competitors outside the two brands or businesses.

Competitors will be confused about which one to fight, whether fight with product A that has a low price or focus on fighting with Product B. 

meanwhile, "B" is calm, if "B" is heavily attacked, they will maximize promotions on "A" which has a low price. This could have been regulated because after all the owners are the same and under the same management, which consumers don't know because the consumer's only know that the company is always competing unfairly, even though both of them are in good health and in fact the owner is getting richer.


In this strategy, it seems as if someone is being sacrificed and will soon become a victim of bankruptcy, but in reality everything is growing, even where there is A, there will always be B, never left behind.

This kind of strategy has been widely used by many companies and business actors with the aim of enlivening competition and breaking competitors' focus.
